Trump to 'repeal a lot' of Obama's actions on day one, top aide says www.cnn.com/2017/01/01/politics/trump-obama-day-one/index.html (copy and paste) Summary- Trump is panning on repealing some of Obama's already passed reforms when he takes office. He said that this will be one of his first actions when coming in office. The specifics arnt known as to which regulation he is repealing. Trump has been critical of most of Obama's actions while in presidency. Trump says it as bringing "A brand new brand to Washington". Connects- In class most of our discussions center around the election that has just taken place electing trump as president. We also have talked about how when in office the president does have some power, but not all posing the question whether he can do that or not because of checks and balances. my opinion- I think that Trump should not be saying this nor should he be planning on throwing away all of Obama's actions because he too got elected twice by the United states and should be given the respect from trump that he did a decent job as president. I think that Trump is getting his personal feelings into the presidency knowing Obama is not a fan of him and vi versa.

In reply to Morgan i agree with her when she is talking about how Trump should not be saying any of these things because in my opinion he is doing it strictly for publicity. Donald Trump is a man that doesn't do much for a certain reason other than a reaction. But in addition all though he is saying a bunch of things, Obama said a bunch of things also like the closing of the US Prison in Cuba but that, 8 years later, is still open and has not been touched.

In reply to Morgans i agree with how she thinks trump should not be doing what he says he will do because what Obama has provided for us has actually helped a lot of the country and taking away that would be devastating. In the article, it says that trumps press secretary noted that Donald trump will repeal a lot of regulations and actions that Obama has created. Although Obama has made few mistakes, he has done a lot to help this country and a mistake Trump is holding him too is his saying of the closing of the US Prison in Cuba but that still remains open. Trump would do no good repealing all of the good he has brought to this country, like immigration.

In response to Morgans I agree that trump should probably not be saying all of these things about throwing away Obama's actions. I feel as if Trump does not know the power he has over persuading people and needs to know not to get too personal on issues. Even though Trump and Obama don't get along I think they both need to respect each other because they are both men in power.

In response to Morgan's article, I believe it is okay for Trump to want to do this as long as it moves our country forward positively. In the article, it says Trump did not specify what Trump will repeal, so it is hard to have an opinion on whether or not it is positive to repeal these actions. With Trump always being critical on Obama's immigration views in the past, I believe he will act upon that subject. I believe changing laws on ILLEGAL immigration is alright to a certain extent.
