In response to Spencer's article, I think that the change of the senate rule was very interesting because they had had the same rule for 40 years. Along with that it changed the amount of votes needed by 9, which is a pretty big difference. I think that Reid is a very fair person because although that new rule was supposed to be in Obama's favor he said that "what was fair for president Obama is fair for President Trump". This shows that although Trump is not his favorite, he still understands that it's right for everything to be fair.

In response to spencers artical,Harry Reid butts and Donald Trump a seem to side with each other alittle. Changing a 40 year old Senate rule is a huhe thing to do espacially for the democates, but this year the Republicans took office. Trump can use this to his benifit becuase of the republican take over, and Cabinet agency directors and judges. something i found interesting them trying to get ride of the obama care because its was helpful to so many people yet bad for the economy, but because the was something the democrates push it makes sense that the republicans want to get rid of it because they didnt want the act in the frist palce.

www.usatoday.com/story/news/politics/onpolitics/2017/01/02/north-korea-intercontinental-ballistic-missile-trump/96091386/ This article relates to class because it is about the future of the United States with Donald Trump. The article is about Donald Trump calling North Korea's bluff when they are claiming they have their first nuclear bomb almost prepared. Of course Donald Trump took it to twitter saying that North Korea is close to testing a ballistic missile that could reach the USA but will not happen. Kim Jong Un said he would bolster or strengthen his military unless the USA stopped playing games with South Korea. Kim wants to avoid another Korean war instead they should focus on building an economy over the next five years. It is very important how Donald Trump presents himself to other leaders in the world to prevent conflicts. Donald Trump needs to be ready to act like a president with very little experience in politics he needs to consider all of his actions when dealing with foreign affairs.

In response to Ben's article, I believe that we should always should take threats in consideration and possibly respond to it. For this we do need to work with other countries to stop them to like China or other Asian countries. Even if they are bluffing we should not call them out because it could effect our relations with North Korea.

I agree with Ben because the way that President Donald Trump is handling the situation is not a common way for a "Commander and Chief" to handle the possibility of a Nuclear bomb being in position to hit the United States. Also, calling Kim Jong Un's bluff is not a good idea considering he explained that he will be boosting and strengthening his countries military capabilities if the United States remain in South Korea. President Trump claiming, "It won't happen", suggests that he will not be taking United States men and women out of South Korea which could lead to more threats from North Korea, and also potential conflicts between the United States and North Korea. With a Communist Dictator like Kim Jong Un and a Commander in Chief like Donald Trump, it is hard to tell what could happen, having said that, President Trump might want to be a little more cautious when dealing with potential threats of Nuclear Missles due to the capabilities of Nuclear weapons.

In response to Ben's article, I agree that the way Donald Trump handled this situation was childish, and when he tweeted "it won't happen," it sounded as a bit of an egg on for North Korea to do it. Even if he did not mean for it to come across this way, it could have been misinterpreted by others who did take it in that way. I believe that if Donald Trump is going to be the president, he needs to learn to be careful about the things that he is going to say, the different ways those things can be taken, and who all is going to be hearing/reading those things. To me, it seems that Donald Trump spends a lot of his time saying things to be humorous to others, or just to start controversy, but when it comes to a Nuclear bomb potentially hitting the U.S. that is something that he should take seriously and think before he posts.

In response to Ben's article, as a man who will soon become president, Donald Trump should stay away from using twitter as a means to discuss foreign matters. Anything put on the internet can be viewed by almost anyone on the planet, including those in the nearly internet free North Korea. Calling a country's bluff for saying they may soon have the capabilities to take out our country just gives them even more reason to use them if they aren't lying. Any threat like that should always be taken seriously by someone who is supposed to lead in defending our country. He should also reconsider getting the help out of countries closer to N. Korea. With China, he should also stop bashing them to get them completely on board with the sanctions on North Korea.

Ford Cancels Mexico Plant, Will Create 700 U.S. Jobs in ‘vote of confidence’ in Trump---http://whotv.com/2017/01/03/ford-cancels-mexico-plant-will-create-700-u-s-jobs-in-vote-of-confidence-in-trump/
Ford was going to build their $700 million plant in Mexico to start the production of their 5 new electric models planned to be debuted in the next 5 to 10 years. Like always, Trump had something to complain about, so he continued to belittle Ford's decision. Ford had responded to this by cancelling the plant and changing the location to Michigan, hopefully creating 700 new jobs. However, Ford stated this was a "vote of confidence" in the Donald and the future economy. Trump threatened a 35% tax charge on Ford even though he can't do that to a single company. Not only that, but he has also been taking credit for the accomplishments of a handful of companies like Carrier and Sprint. Trump frustrates me to a point where it hurts.
The aspect of class that this event shares is the power the president actually has with taxes and whatnot. With Trump’s idea in mind, that would impose a 35% price hike on a lot of different products making those who can barely afford groceries pay that much more just because of Trump’s idiotic ideals.
As a result of this election year, Trump in general, and the events to come, I’d rather move to Europe. In the progressive era, such as this, we don’t need closed minded people legally taking over this country. Cannabis, LGBTQ rights, religious, gun, and abortion reform have been ZOOMING to a new day of age all within the past 10-15 years or so just to be halted to a stop by the older generation. WE are the future of this country, WE will decide how things will go.
